This report provides more details of the mechanics of this venture. It also sets out some of the challenges that will have to be addressed.

Singapore has arguably, the most highly regarded and progressive judiciary in the region. Judgements are well reasoned and the quality of the jurisprudence is consistently high. Singapore Judges are honest, smart, hardworking and prolific. the judiciary is definitely export quality, and one that Singapore’s neighbours cannot easily emulate.

The report indicates that motivation for an International Court stems from an opportunity for Singapore to cement its leading position as the dispute resolution hub of Asia, in tandem with the expected growth of dispute resolution opportunities in Asia.
